Yellowstone National Park Honeymoon
It may not be a creative
choice, but it's the world's first national park and it's also a
World Heritage site.
It's pretty spectacular: the remnant of a massive ancient
volcano, Yellowstone is home to mountains, canyons, geysers, colorful hot springs,
sulphur cauldrons, mud pots, hundreds of waterfalls, unusual lakes,
petrified trees, archaeological sites, and wildlife. Not
surprisingly, this is one of the most visited parks in the U.S.
National Park System. To avoid the crowds, consider backcountry
camping (permit required) or visiting during the off-season (fall,
winter, and spring).
