Win a Free Honeymoon

"Nothing in life is free"—unless you win a free honeymoon vacation in a promotional sweepstakes or contest. A surprising number of travel agencies and other companies run contests giving away honeymoon vacations as a way of promoting their services.

Granted, the odds of winning are small, and the honeymoon you win might not be your dream honeymoon. But if the alternative is not going on a honeymoon at all, it might be worth spending an hour or two entering contests on the web.

A couple of suggestions as you make the rounds of the free honeymoon sites: 1) Be aware that by supplying your e-mail address to the contest sponsors, you're basically inviting a steady stream of e-mail in the future. Some contest sponsors even provide your e-mail address to other wedding and travel vendors, meaning you could be swamped with unwanted e-mail. You can avoid this by signing up for a free e-mail account (e.g., Hotmail or Gmail or Yahoo! Mail) that you use exclusively for registering for these contests. Also, some contests may offer an option to opt out of future e-mail.  2)
